Paradise Point beach side holiday accommodation, Vanuatu.

Vanuatu, formally New Hebrides prior to independence in 1981, is situated on the western side of the South Pacific ocean, only 2 hours flying time from Brisbane, 2.5 hours from Sydney, or 3 hours from New Zealand

We have 2 properties Called "Vanuatu Harbour Retreats", positioned on arguably the best sandy beaches in Port Vila's harbour, just 4 kms from downtown Port Vila. The entire subdivision is on a peninsula jutting out into the South West edge of the harbour, with 13 of the 16 lots beachfront.

"Sea Breeze Guest House" (SBGH) is a new (Nov 2011) 4 bedroom, 2 bathroom home with large living area, big kitchen, huge undercover decks plus internal atrium. "SBGH" is nestled on a very pretty shady site surrounded by mature exotic fruit trees, coconut palms and tropical shrubs, only 45 metres from one of the 13 beach lots within the subdivision. (All guests are welcome to swim and snorkel from any beach).
The name "Sea Breeze" is very apt, due to the cooling trade winds blowing off the harbour.

"Leaning Tree Cottage" (LTC) is a small, quaint, modest 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom cottage built in 2009 with a large covered deck down one side of the dwelling, plus a further 30 sq metres of uncovered deck. LTC is currently positioned on point position of the peninsula, only 2.5 metres from high tide. Once the apartment (which will also be a gorgeous rental proposition in the future) is completed above the main villa in approx June to August 2012 LTC will be moved 5 doors down to the same site that "Sea Breeze" is currently sited, within the same gated community.

With "Vanuatu Harbour Retreats", rent either "SBGH" which sleeps 8 guests, or "LTC" which sleeps up to 4, or both for a large family get together.

Position Perfect: - Both our holiday destinations (plus the "Apartment at House of the Rising Sun", once completed) are also positioned within this up market ex-pat gated subdivision, on the Southern edge of the Port Vila harbour.
The subdivision is "point position", one of, if not the most beautiful areas in Port Vila.
Sandy beaches surround the entire subdivision. Safe swimming is directly outside all properties within the reef and Ifira Island, only 150 metres away. Guests can swim and snorkel from the sandy channel separating Paradise Point and Ifira Island, or for more experienced snorkelers, walk over to the reef to the drop off where the fish and coral are superb.

The Area:
Vanuatu was voted the happiest place on earth in 2005 and 2006. When you meet the locals and see their incredible smiles, you will realise why. The Ni Van people have an exotic culture. Fly to Tanna, and stand on the rim of a live volcano, or take a flight to Pentecost where young men spend many weeks building towers by binding tree trunk saplings and branches to a tall tree with vines. The towers are the shape of a man up to 35 metres high. The towers sigh as they bend in the wind, you too will sigh when you see the men make their spectacular leaps to ensure a successful harvest.
